Yes we are alive!

It has been so long since I have blogged! There is no sense, but it seems that once March hits, there are so many things to do and then blogging gets put on the back burner! I didn't realized it had been so long until a friend of mine asked me if I was still blogging. I said Yeah, realizing how long it had been. So we will recap some of the stuff going on!

I think that the Springtime weather has encouraged people to want to work and spend money... that is with Bo. He is one blessed man. His business, Your Marketing Co. is BOOMING! People are wanting to use marketing; it seems from my eyes more than ever! I am amazed daily at his talents and his abilities in marketing the credit unions that he does work for. He is so creative and has great ideas!! He has been out of town a little more, but I know that in order for his business to grow he has to do that; as sad as it makes me!

Whoa! 3 months.. Can you believe it? I have been a married woman for three months! Time flies by when you are having fun and we are having fun! I just love the days that we laugh until our stomachs hurt, or the days that he makes me cry that I am laughing so hard. It is so much fun!!!

WICKED!! Amanda was so wonderful in gettin tickets for Wicked! I can't wait to be able to have a girl's weekend where we get to catch up on fun girlie times and then be able to enjoy what I think is the best Broadway show ever!

Lastly, Spring! Who doesn't love it? I am so ready for the days of cool breezes and warm sun to be here! Saturday is suppoed to bring that and Bo and I have planned to work in the yards, which I am pumped about!

Spring also brings Spring Break.. which brings NEW ORLEANS! Bo and I have decided to take our spring break in NOLA. We were lucky when we got 4 nights at an auction that we attended and Kimmy tells us that the weather will be good in April to go, so next week LA watch out cause here we come. Promise to blog about it when we get back!

Valentine's Oh So Much Fun!!!

This year was my first year as a married lady on Valentine's Day! Last year Bo and I knew each other but our Valentine's Day was an anti-valentine's party. We weren't allowed to say anything about love, hearts, or the colors red, pink, or white.. It was a ton of fun with all of his friends... But this year was so wonderful. We had talked about heading to Charlotte on Saturday to eat at the Cheesecake Factory; which I was so excited about! Bo asked me though on Wednesday night what time I got out of school on Friday and I said 3 ish. What came next was so exciting. He surprised me with an entire weekend in Charlotte!!!

So we left on Friday after work and headed to Charlotte all along knowing that they were calling for the most snow we had seen in a while. We decided that since Bo is a northerner he could handle driving in the snow and so we braved it. It snowed the entire time on us while driving up there. We stopped at the mall near the Cheesecake Factory and it was snowing when we went in...not knowing that staying in there less than an hour that the entire ground would be covered!!!

Roads weren't bad so we headed to the hotel! We stayed at an amazing place which was the Epicenter of Charlotte. It was like a small city within the city. Our hotel was Aloft. You ought to check it out!


We were out walking around in the snow here, that is why we resemble wet dogs! :)

Saturday was COLD and we didn't think that walking around would be a good idea, so we got our car and drove around and found a fun little British pub with Yummy food!!! Dinner that night was at Mez which was in the Epicenter also! We ended the night at Howl at the Moon; a dueling piano dive.


We had so much fun this past weekend. It is nice to be able to get away, eat like you are dying, and just do NOTHING. Thank you honey for an amazing weekend!!!!

Not so fun day off...

So yesterday wasn't the best of days. I hadn't been feeling well and was hoping that if I rested I would soon pass the yuck feeling. After going to bed at 5pm on Monday night and then waking for school I soon realized I wasn't better. I headed to school and then had to get a sub. Being at home alone isn't fun at all; especially when your sweet husband is out of town and can't take care of you. Also on the way home from dancing I hit a pothole along with 7 other cars and we all had blown tires. So here are 10 things I learned yesterday:
1. Sleeping with no alarm is wonderful!
2. Sleeping with no alarm on a rainy day is even better.
3. When you don't feel like eating but get the craving for something...my new concauction of pineapple, yogurt and granola is AWESOME!
4. Taking three kinds of headache medicines at different times of the day won't hurt your body. I tried it and then my headache went away.
5. Chick Fil A makes the best chicken noodle soup in the world and it will solve your aches and pains.
6. Hitting a pot hole at 730 at night isn't fun especially when you have to call someone to help you because your sweet hubby is out of town. The ok part is that the city will pay for a new tire for all of us and any damage that it caused! Dang Spartanburg Roads...
7. When I was off I was stuck at home and not wanting to leave but I did find a great chili recipe we will try tonight. It is a crock pot one! So cross your fingers.
8. I heard that there was more snow and ice coming.. Really? Are you serious?
9. I was able to watch Y&R at its real time rather than on the DVR.
10. I miss my husband when he isn't around... Or have I already said that? I love him tons!

Wicked!!

Ok raise your hand if you haven't seen Wicked yet? I am pumped becuase I have seen it while in New York but my friends Amanda and Julie and I have planned to see it again in June! It will be a girl's weekend that I can't wait for! I haven't seen Amanda since November at my surprise birthday party and I miss her terribly. We have planned to make it a girl's weekend. Jules gets to celebrate her 30th early that weekend which will be fun! After much back and forth through email and facebook we finally nailed down a date.

I can't wait to spend time with two sweet special friends!!!! Are yall as ready as I am?

Top Ten... Since I have been on last!!

Sorry It has been so long since we have blogged.. We thought that since we were married and it was the beginning of the year things would calm down. Uh No! We are still going bonkers with stuff to do!

10. I have learned that Bo is so talented at what he does! I have seen him in action with photo shoots and commercial shoots. The more I see the more I fall in love with him! He is an amazing Marketing man!
9. When it is 16 degrees out you should let your pipes drip... Or they will freeze and you won't take a shower until 3pm.
8. We must have a huge heat lamp over our house. When it snows everywhere else we get NOTHING!
7. Having a day off from school is so great because you get to spend it in Asheville just wasting the day away!
6. Even though I said I would never have a dog inside, I do like it when Jake comes in. He is so sweet and (don't tell Bo) I am so falling for him. Such a precious pup!

5. Have I said lately that I miss my friend Kimmy.. Just in case she forgets!
4. Speaking of missing people, I miss you Amanda.. Hopefully we can get a girl's night together for Wicked in Charlotte.
3. I think that I am beginning to enjoy politics. It is the Mass. Senate race today and we are waiting on the polls. I am learning and kinda enjoying it. :)
2. I am grateful for what we have. Look around at what you have and realize that you are SO blessed! Please pray daily for those in Haiti. They are so lost right now and need to know that they are loved!
1. Life is grand! Couldn't imagine it any other way.. Thank you Lord for keeping Bo in your pocket until the right time. You are amazing!

Moving Forward

Today was a great day at Seacoast. We were able to hear an inspriational message from C3 Church. I learned that we have to take what God gives as a learning experience. We hope that what we learned today will some how inspire you to Move Forward.

1. Take off the mask.
You have to be real. Keeping the mask on all day doesn't allow others and God to see the real you. You are who you are for a reason. Show your real self today; so that God can be seen through you, even if it is not the best of days or you have had lots of trials and tribulations.
2. Put the past behind.
You, yes you are forgiven. Regardless of your past and what things you have been through you are a forgiven soul! God loves who you are and he knows you! Leave the past, there, in the past and move towards the future. You have the ability to be a new person in Christ!
3. Lean Forward.
Think of a runner. In order to be successful he/she has to lean forward and run. Therefore be the runner. Lean forward and be closer to God. Pursue Him! Go towards Him. Lean on him. Learn more about him. Don't sit back and be encouraged by what you hear!
4. Set your goals based on God.
Basic: Make sure that your goals are those things that God would want for your life!

Goodbye 2009; Welcome 2010

With today being New Year's Eve I thought that I would recount some of the things that have happened. This year has flown by with many changes occuring in our lives! We have met our soulmate; fallen in love; and married all within one year. That is crazy I know but I know that God has had His hand in it all!

January: Met the man of my dreams even though when we ate dinner at McAllister's that cool Jan night we both neither had an idea. I discovered that he was a radio DJ for 93.7 and that his real name wasn't Bo; it is Thomas! :)

February: Went to the annual Anti-valentines Day party with Bo's friends. We were the only ones that were dating with all other people who were just bitter about love!

March: My sweet friends Allison and Brad gave birth to sweet Ellie! She is beautiful and so much fun to be around! I was able to experience my first Elton John concert; which started the year of concerts! It was great and I love to see Bo so happy. "EJ" as he is affectionally called around here had his biggest fans there that night.

April: Traveled to New York to meet Bo's parents and had a blast. I never knew that I would be accepted as I was. I love them dearly and thank God for them.

May: Concert #2: Kenny Chesnee! We went to the BiLo Center with our friends Gregg and Carla. We had so much fun spending time with friends and adding to our year of concerts!


June: While in NY in April we went to the David Letterman show and saw Ray LaMontagne for the first time. We LOVED his music and so in June we went to a concert (#3) in Asheville to see him. One of his songs was our first dance! The Hawk and Tom Prom was also memorable. This is when Bo "proposed" the first time and we faked everyone out for a good 12 hours! Was good fun!

July: Wow lots here! My sister got married, My friend Cammie got married; and Bo proposed! A visit to Myrtle Beach with Bo's family was also here! We had a blast this month as the journey began.

August: My wonderful fiance knew what a fan of my Tigers I was, so he bought us season tickets to see the Clemson Tigers play.

September: We began the process of wedding planning and moving Bo's things little at a time!!

October: Watching Bo in his element was the best. He has a deep passion for politics. Being up at 12 am placing mailbox hangers and signs all in the name of Billy Webber! He is great at what he does and that was one more exciting thing that I learned about Bo.

November: Turning 30 wasn't so bad; especially when your amazing fiance plans a surprise party with all of your friends from high school to join in the fun!

December: So here we are. It has been a journey. Bo and I always say that it is about the journey NOT the destination! Our wedding was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more!

I pray that in 2010 I can do the following:
*Praise God more for the blessings that He will bestow on Bo and I
*Learn not the worry about things that I can't change
* Be the best wife that I can be. I don't know what I am doing and it has been a learning experience. I pray though that the journey becomes the most exciting ever in 2010.
